It's Fringe Time Again!!

Yes the Adelaide Fringe Festival is on again shortly and The City of Adelaide Band is holding another Cabaret Concert following on from last years successful event.

This year the show has a strong jazz theme, being titled "Generations of Jazz". The Band will be playing jazz related pieces from throughout the history of jazz covering many of the genres within the jazz theme.

The Band will be supported by talented vocalist Nina Verlingieri as well as support acts Finely Tuned, an A Capella jazz group, and tap dancers Top Katz and Tri Tappers.

Don't miss out on the fun! The show is on Sunday afternoon 7th March at the SA German Association, 223 Flinders Street in the city. Tickets $12, Conc $10, Child $5 through Fringetix or at the door.

Touring Again

Yes, the City of Adelaide Band will be back at Elder Park on Sunday 24th January, performing before the final race of the Adelaide Tour Down Under gets underway.

We will be playing from 11.45am till 12.30pm before some formalities and then the race begins. So get on your bike and come along and have a listen and then stay for the race.

What's better than Cheese and Wine?

A Cheese and Wine Festival of course!

Yes the Adelaide Cheesefest is back on again on Sunday 18th October at Rymill Park and The City of Adelaide Band will be joining the festivities. We will be playing from 12.30 to 1.30 so come along for some fun.

The Cheesefest begins at 11am and goes till 4pm, we hope to see you there.

Cocktails Anyone?

The City of Adelaide Band will be playing at the Adelaide Hilton Hotel on Thursday 4th June supporting a Charity Dinner held by the Hutt Street Centre. We will be playing from 6.45pm for about an hour as entertainment while the guests arrive for this very worthy cause.

The Band is always keen to support charities and organisations like the Hutt Street Centre, and yes afterwards we may sneak in a cocktail!

Saw the Light

A brass ensemble formed from The City of Adelaide Band performed the Song of Australia at this years Colonel Light Ceremony in Light Square on 27th April.

Lending a Hand

The City of Adelaide Band will be playing at the Helping Hand Centre in the City on Sunday 5th April. Why don't you come along and give us a hand!

Fruit or Veg ?

Confused? Well come along to the Fruit and Veg Parade on 18th April in Victoria Square and it will all be clear. The City of Adelaide Band will be playing from about 11.30 am to entertain all. You can even dress up as your favourite veg or fruit so look out.

At the Governor's Pleasure

The City of Adelaide Band will be playing on Sunday 29th March at the Government House open day being held on that day. The Band will be playing from 10 am to noon followed by the Australian Army Band who will be playing in the afternoon. The open day continues until 4 pm.

Fringe Cabaret Concert

Make sure you have 1st March blocked out in your diary because the Adelaide Concert Band is having a special Fringe Cabaret concert on that Sunday afternoon. To be held at the German Club we have a guest singer, Kylena Vigus and guest band Lost in Bass plus more. Tickets are available from Fringetix or at the door.

Ready, Set...Go

Yep, get on your bike because The City of Adelaide Band will be performing at the final stage of the Tour Down Under in Elder Park on Sunday 25th January.

This is a fantastic international event with the final stage expecting to attract a huge spectator crowd so get there early to enjoy our pre race performance which will start around 11.30 am, then of course stick around to see all the action on two wheels.
